iMIS Overview
Course Duration – 3 days, 9 am – 4.30
pm
This indepth three-day class covers the core modules of iMIS and is
an excellent, fast-paced, hands-on introduction to iMIS. Topics include
Customer, Events, A/R Cash, Billing, the Customizer, and some setup.
Overview focuses on extensive hands-on practice and includes
demonstrations and discussion. This course is designed for iMIS
newcomers, but it is also appropriate for more experienced users who
want to fill in the gaps in their knowledge of iMIS. The class moves
quickly and covers a broad range of topics in a short period.
Target Audience - This course is designed for
customers who will use, manage, and setup iMIS, as well as solution
providers who will install and support iMIS.
Pre-requisites - None. This course is
appropriate for beginners.

iMIS Introductory Crystal Reports for
iMIS
Course Duration – Two days, 9 am-4.30 pm
This two-day course is designed for beginner to intermediate Crystal
Reports users who need to quickly become proficient in creating and
modifying reports. Some of the topics include:
• Creating a basic report
• Record selection, sorting, grouping and summarising
• Basic queries
• Exporting to other formats; and
• Formulas
This course combines demonstrations, discussions and hands-on practice
with demo databases.
Target Audience - This course is designed for
clients involved in the implementation, support or daily use of Crystal
Report Writer
Prerequisites - MS Windows proficiency & working
knowledge of iMIS. A basic knowledge of database concepts such as
tables, fields and records is an advantage.

course will cover the data entry aspects of the iMIS Customer Management
module.

iMIS Billing QuickStart
Course Duration – One day, 9 am–4.30

This one-day course will cover aspects of the iMIS Billing (dues) module
in detail. Those who complete the course will be able to set up and use
Cash and Accrual dues methods.
Topics covered include: Billing terminology, system set up, table
maintenance, dues billing, payments, basic subscription set up and
management, report generation, and special pricing. The dues billing
implications related to Membership will also be reviewed. This course
includes demonstration, walk through exercises and extensive hands-on
practice.

iMIS Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts
Quickstart
Course Duration – One day, 9 am–4.30

This one-day course examines the iMIS accounting operations. Topics
covered include: AR/Cash (including Simple Order Entry), G/L
Integration, Deferred Income, and Multiple Entities. The accounting
implications related to Billing, Events, Exposition, and Fund Raising
will also be reviewed. This course consists of lecture, demonstration,
walk through exercises and extensive hands-on practice.
Target Audience - This course is designed for System
Managers and experienced iMIS end users.

Course Duration – One day, 9 am–4.30

This one day course covers aspects of the iMIS Fund Raising module in
detail. Topics include processing and managing gifts and
pledges, processing payments, managing meetings as Fund Raising events,
issuing Fund Raising receipts, entering and searching requests,
reporting and iMIS Fund Raising table structure. This course includes
demonstration, walk through exercises and extensive hands-on
practice.

Business Object Designer for Beginners - At Your
Desk
This two hour online course provides a basic understanding of what
Business Objects are in iMIS, different types of objects and when to use
them, e.g. Cs objects vs. non-Cs objects, AccessMain and other objects
used by iMIS Security. Advanced IQA is required prior to taking
this class. This session is designed for beginners to the subject.
Curriculum
In this class you will learn:
• How to add fields to User Defined Tables for querying in
IQA
• Basic Business Object Changes:
• How to relabel object properties, i.e. renaming captions /
prompts
• How to add a look up table to a property
• How to add a new property to a business object

Process Engines for IQA - At Your Desk
This two hour online course is designed for users who need to use
Process Engines with IQA.
Please note: It is recommended that you have a solid understanding of
IQA before undertaking this course. Consider taking the Intro to
IQA and Advanced IQA courses prior to undertaking this.
Curriculum
• In this class you will learn:
• What iMIS Process Engines are and what they are used
for
• How to use the three Process Engines: MS Word Merges,
Crystal Reports, Email Merges
• How the process engine works within the iMIS Framework
Console
This course is designed for report writers and staff responsible for
mass email and letter campaigns. A working knowledge of iMIS, a
basic knowledge of Crystal Reports and Microsoft Word and a solid
understanding of IQA is strongly recommended to get the most from this
course.

System Administration Workshop
Course Duration - Two days
This two-day class will cover system administration. Students should
have solid skills and a basic knowledge of SQL. Topics will include:
Security, Workstation Setup, iMIS System Setup, iMIS Utilities and the
initial install of the .NET based modules. This class will combine
slides, discussion, demonstration and hands-on practice.
Target Audience - The class is designed for both
Solution Providers who install or support iMIS as well as Customers who
administer an iMIS database.
Prerequisites - Working knowledge of network
administration and SQL database administration.

Content
Manager End-User and Administration
Course Duration - Two days
This two-day hands on course covers everything a day-to-day end-user
or administrator needs to know about Content Manager. Learn what you
need to know about the module's functionality. Understand how to use the
product for website administration, content creation and maintenance,
managing approvals and workflow, and security. The optional tagging
module is covered in depth on the second day.
Target Audience - The class is designed for iMIS
customers who will administer Content Manager.
CM Application for End Users (Day 1)
CM Application for End Users is the first day of a two-day series. We
cover how to create content records, use the html editor, and manage
site navigation. The students develop their skills as content
contributors by learning about tagged pages, workflow management, and
security.
Target Audience - Content contributors and
producers that create basic content and submit it for approval.

CM for System Managers and Content Managers (Day 2)
CM for System and Content Managers is the second day of a 2-day
series. We cover website administration, content creation and
maintenance, and managing approvals, workflow, and security. Students
learn how to create the navigational structure of a website, setup
graphical templates, manage groups of content managers, and implement
e-Series within the Content Manager framework. We also cover tagging and
tagged page layouts.

Course Duration - Two days
This two-day class will cover the all new iMIS 15.0 Public Web View,
including user profile, customers, directory, events, and orders. You
will learn how to use each area from a user standpoint as well as how to
set up the entire web view as an administrative for your public site. We
think you'll be excited to learn the new features for your public site,
as well as the new access for administering all setup from the iMIS
desktop.
