iMIS Digital Locker

Electronic items can be purchased in iMIS but there is not a convenient way to allow a customer to come back in and see them. In particular some items may only be allowed to be seen for a short period of time (e.g., 1 day or 1 month). The iMIS Digital Locker allows digital items purchased in iMIS to be managed and allows the ability for them to be viewed for a period of time. This can include PDF files, Word documents, audio files and video files. Key features include:

• The ability for the staff to indicate which purchased items should be put into a digital locker
• The ability for staff to determine how long a digital asset will be made available to the person who purchased them
• A one stop shop for a contact to see all purchased assets.
• Files are secured so that purchasers cannot share the url and any bookmarks to the content require the person to login to see them if they are not logged in with their iMIS username and password. This is built on the .NET iMIS Business Objects as a user control and can be integrated into any web site, public views, or as an iPart.
