Activity Editor for Web View iPart

iMIS web view (casual and full) displays Activity records but does not allow the user to edit any Activity type except CALL. Casual users must use desktop iMIS to add and edit activities. Since Activity records are a key area of iMIS for most users, not having this ability can greatly diminish the value of the casual view for many users.

We developed an iPart to bring the Activity editing capabilities from desktop iMIS to web users, and modeled after iMIS in every way.

• Users can view, create, edit and delete any activity type, subject to security.
• Shows and hides fields with the correct prompts according to the Activity Type configuration.
• Provides the same lookups for fields.
• Controls access using the same criteria as desktop iMIS. (Access Keyword, Allow User Edit, module-level access for editing activities)
• Display of existing activities shows the same columns by default, configurable through iQA.
• Sort the list of existing activities by type or date.
• Filter the list of existing activities by type.
• Shows the name (company or full name) of the current ID while editing a record. In addition, we added the following features:
• Add long instruction field to the page with existing activities (configurable).
• Sort the list of existing activities by any field.
• Filter the list of existing activities by selected fields (configurable).
• Ability to block certain types of activities from the web. For example, you may block CALL activities if you prefer to use the standard iMIS interface.
