GeoCoding Module

The ATS Geocoding module allows organizations to add functionality to their iMIS external websites to search for members based upon address information and provide a visual representation of location results using Google Maps. The module uses iMIS’ Name_Picture table to include pictures in the results set on Google Maps. This module adds value to the iMIS product by allowing members to simply drop a .NET control onto their iMIS home pages and instantly allow their members to utilize this new functionality. Any organization whose external users conduct searches from their website to return address locations of their members can utilize this module. The Geocoding Module uses a custom demographic in iMIS to capture the latitude and longitude of an address. When a search is requested, the module will first determine if the latitude and longitude exists for an address and will use the saved information if it exists. If the information is not available, the module will use Google to get it and then store the information in the custom demographic field. In addition, this module can be used by iMIS users internally to return a visual representation of member locations in an iMIS database using different IQA queries.
