ASI Europe sponsors IoF's 'Fundraising in an Economic Turndown'
event
ASI Europe was delighted to be sole Sponsor of the Institute of
Fundraising's 'Fundraising in an Economic Turndown Conference' 26
February 2009 in London.
With a sub-theme of 'Surviving and Thriving', the conference took a
hard look at the reality of how the current recession is affecting the
not-for-profit organisations in the UK, and what can be done in the
future.
Introducing the Conference, Robin Fisk of ASI Europe welcomed over
200 delegates, and spoke of the challenges currently being faced. He
revealed how charities might look at new technologies- many available
free- that can enable organisations to increase donor numbers by
developing contact relationships, and social networking and
friend-raising techniques.
Other conference presenters included the Director General of the
Government's Office of the Third Sector, the Chairman and the Chief
Executive of IoF, and leading economists from financial and consultancy
organisations. Case study and panel sessions were led by senior
directors from several of the UK's leading charities and
consultancies.
Robin Fisk is fundraising technology expert at ASI – Advanced
Solutions International.
He had also presented at a leading UK conference the day before. At
CHASE- the Charities and Associations Exhibition and Conference in
London- Robin presented "The Search for Sneezers" to an audience of over
120 delegates. Complete with real sneezing (Robin was suffering with a
cold!), he enthused his audience with a summary of many 'free'
technologies that would enable charities to increase their
fundraising.
