ASI Enhances Openness of iMIS 15 with SOA
Web Services
Universal, Web-Based API Enables Customers and Partners to Integrate
Third-Party Applications into iMIS
ALEXANDRIA, Va., (August 10, 2010)—Advanced
Solutions International (ASI), the largest, privately-owned global
provider of web-based software for member and donor-based non-profits,
today announced the availability of iMIS
15.1.3. The latest evolution of iMIS features
a SOA Web Services Application Programming Interface (API). This new
universal, web-based API allows customers and partners to easily
integrate third-party applications into iMIS,
regardless of technology or application platform, without affecting the
product upgrade path. Developer documentation for iMIS SOA Web Services is available in the SDK Center
of the iMIS Developer’s Community.
"This enhancement to the iMIS platform
builds on our tradition of openness," said Bob Alves, chairman and CEO,
ASI. "There are hundreds of add-on applications currently available for
iMIS, and we are committed to providing our
partners and customers with the very latest tools they need to develop
even more."
iMIS 15.1.3 includes expanded support for
an array of new operating systems and web applications, including SQL
Server 2008 and 2008 Tools, Windows 7, Crystal Reports on 64-bit,
ColdFusion 9 and Internet Explorer 8. In addition, iMIS 15.1.3 comes with new
web content management features, including support for a new
design template based on Universal Design concepts, which makes it
easy to transform web content for use in mobile devices.
iMIS 15.1.3 also contains a number of
enhancements for non-profits that operate in the U.K. and Canada. U.K.
charities can reclaim tax on donations under the Gift Aid
initiative, which adds a significant percentage to the value of a
gift at no cost to the donor, and they can also collect and manage
Standing Order donations. Canadian organizations can comply with Harmonized
Sales Tax (HST) rules with a ‘Tax by address’ option that can be
enabled for virtual events, so that HST is charged based on registrants’
addresses.
