AGN International – North America Enhances the Member Experience
with Social Networking for iMIS
Association Streamlines Member Communication and Improves
Operational Processes by Integrating Community-Building Platform and
Member Management Software
Alexandria, VA (January 5, 2011) - Advanced
Solutions International (ASI), the largest, privately-owned global
provider of software for member and donor-based non-profits, today
announced that Social Networking for iMIS has
helped AGN International – North America improve its members’
experiences. The association used the community-building platform,
developed by GoLightly, to streamline member communication and improve
its operational processes.
With Social Networking for iMIS, AGN
International – North America was able to create and organize all of its
member-only content, including webcasts and audio files, in a single,
private knowledge bank, so that members can easily find, comment on and
share the information. By integrating GoLightly’s software with its
member management software system, iMIS, the
association also saved significant staff time by eliminating the need to
rekey information, freed up IT resources by only managing a single
system, and got true 360-degree profiles of its members and their
activities.
Key Facts
- AGN International – North
America’s previously used an expensive yet limited tool to communicate
with and supply information to its members. It also found its previous
email listserve to be difficult to manage and prone to delivery
problems. The association needed a one-stop shop for content for its
members, as well as a way to reach out to them using a mass email system
directly from iMIS.
- With Social Networking for iMIS, AGN International – North America was able to
automatically upload and archive all of its member-only content, and
provide members with easy access to the files. If members don’t have
time to go to the knowledge bank, they can send an email using the
community-building platform’s listserve functionality and immediately
get 10-15 answers back from their peers. The association recently saw
more than 50,000 emails be sent through the system in just one
month.
- Along with its limitations, the association’s
previous product also had almost no technical support. AGN International
– North America has been pleased with the assistance it has received
with Social Networking for iMIS; GoLightly has
been quick and responsive when attending to the association’s software
issues and enhancement suggestions.
